SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
EES supports some of the federal government’s most demanding technical customers in meeting their “cradle-to-grave” acquisition lifecycle efforts to establish and implement many highly complex applications, including the infrastructure surrounding Air Traffic Control (ATC) within the National Airspace System (NAS).  EES’ Core Management Team members have more than 3 decades of experience in the continuous evolution of the NAS, including the current Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) modernization effort.

Full System Life Cycle Support

EES has extensive experience in supporting every aspect of the Acquisition Management Lifecycle from Mission Analysis to Investment Analysis, Solutions Implementation to In-Service Management as well as Service Life Extension.

Service Life Extension Programs
Picture
As a key service for extending the life of mission critical legacy systems, EES supports the installation and maintenance of RADARs and airport lighting as well as critical operational NAS facility systems such as the backup-channel for Air Traffic Control facilities. Our experience in supporting Service Life Extension Programs of the FAA includes the full scope of engineering studies, new equipment identification, management, testing, logistic support, and documentation.

Security Architecture Design & Implementation

EES has experience in security architecture design and implementation.  Our services contributed to the successful implementation of the Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Card and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) (including firewalls, smart cards, and networks) for the FAA.  The FAA issued PIV cards, used to gain access to FAA facilities, has greatly improved the security of the agency's facilities and personnel.

Field Support

EES provides direct support to the FAA in their mission to field and maintain critical Air Traffic Control automation equipment and related systems. Our direct engineering field support services include maintenance and sustainment,  critical task area leadership, management, as well as administrative support.

Verification & Validation

EES understands the vital importance of providing enterprise level Verification & Validation (V&V) support to address the FAA mission.  EES uses V&V strategies and practices in the communication, development and implementation of concepts, requirements, capabilities, architectures, and system integration of key FAA programs.
