9/15/2020 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Technology Research and Development Branch, Airport Safety Section has awarded Enterprise Engineering Services LLC (EES) along with team partner General Dynamics Information Technology Inc. (GDIT) the Airport Technology Research Database Management, Development, & Support contract under the eFAST contract vehicle. The contractual effort will include system engineering, software development, programming, administration, maintenance and support of databases key to the research efforts of the ARTD Branch. These research areas include aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) systems and technologies, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) technologies, airport visual guidance systems and technologies, surface friction testing technologies, airport wildlife mitigation, airport design, airport pavement performance and design, and research efforts as assigned by FAA sponsors in Washington. 4/3/2020 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded Enterprise Engineering Services LLC (EES) with the National Airspace Systems (NAS) Information System Security Support (ISS) contract. Under Systems Engineering Support Services, EES will assist in the development of cybersecurity solutions for the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) and the System Wide Information Management (SWIM) program.
A coordinated approach to evaluating and deploying information systems security solutions is essential to aviation safety, especially in view of current NextGen modernization efforts. Reduced cyber security vulnerabilities and improved security protections are essential to protect the United States (US) Aviation Domain critical Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and assure the safety of US citizens travelling to domestic and international locations.
While NextGen Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) analyzes security gaps and develops requirements for Trust, Identity, and Access Management, the SWIM program budgets for and implements, enterprise security controls to support these requirements. This unique area of cybersecurity requires specialized expertise.

9/13/2018 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) a $99 million contract. GDIT along with teaming partner Enterprise Engineering Services LLC (EES) will assist the Government in modernizing the National Airspace System (NAS) through work on its Data, Visualization, Analysis and Reporting System (DVARS).
The FAA's requirements define DVARS as needing to provide "wide-spread access to the capabilities that will ensure maintenance of a safe and modern NAS infrastructure. DVARS will provide integrated visualization and reporting tools allowing users to access quality NAS data and perform modeling, analysis, and trending." DVARS is slated for initial operational capability in January 2022. 1/8/2016 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded Enterprise Engineering Services LLC (EES) Strategic Sourcing for the Acquisition of Various Equipment and Supplies (SAVES). The IT Infrastructure Division is responsible for various components of the above initiatives in support of FAA’s Flight Plan objectives to control costs and improve the agency’s capability to make data-driven decisions related to IT. Activities for this Task Order focus on data analysis and management for Strategic Sourcing for the Acquisition of Various Equipment and Supplies (SAVES), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and Electronic “Green IT” initiative.
EES will provide support in the development of quantitative and qualitative performance measurements and data analysis, data conversion, rapid prototyping, testing, and coordination of technical issues; support for expert panels, technical meetings, workshops, and conferences; preparation of analysis reports and software requirements specifications.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) $81 million contract to support the Aeronautical Information Management Modernization (AIMM) program. EES serves as a partner to Northrop Grumman on FAA’s Aeronautical Information Management Modernization Segment 2 (AIMM S2) Program.
Under this contract, NGC and EES will support the FAA safety mission and Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) objectives of developing automation, and information systems and services to address future air traffic requirements. This program will also provide aviation users with digital Aeronautical Information (AI) that conforms to international standards.
8/15/2015 August 31, 2015 – CSC announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded its team – including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, EES and other strategic partners – a contract to deliver cost-effective cloud services, data center consolidation and cloud migration capabilities. This single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is valued at $108,992,884 with the potential to reach $1 billion over 10 years. Under the contract, CSC’s team will consolidate FAA data centers and migrate FAA data and systems to a hybrid cloud environment. The team will use the CSC Agility Platform cloud management tool to orchestrate efficient cloud deployment while leveraging alliance partners for data and cloud services.
1/24/2014 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded the Data Communications (Data Comm) Integrated Services (DCIS) contract to Enterprise Engineering Services LLC (EES).
The Data Comm Program is a critically important next step for improving air safety, reducing delays, increasing fuel savings, improving the environment, and providing the foundation for NextGen operations. The introduction of data communications between the FAA’s air traffic control functions and carrier aircraft represents a key phase of the transition from the current decades old analog voice system to a predominantly digital mode of communication. The Data Comm System supports the NextGen vision by providing air traffic service (ATS) data transmissions directly to pilots via aircraft avionics systems. This ATS data communications capability enables more efficient procedures and flight profiles through services such as revised departure clearances, automation of routine clearances, Traffic Flow Management reroutes, automated transfer of communications, optimized profile descents, and trajectory-based operations. These services contribute to evolving air traffic control from short-term tactical operations to the strategic managements of flights from gate-to-gate. As used herein, the Data Comm System is the end-to-end system from the air traffic controller position to the pilots data display system in the aircraft. The Data Comm System explicitly includes FAA automation and intermediate systems in the En Route, Tower, and Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) domains, FAA supplied telecommunications service, the Data Communications Network Service, (DCNS), and the aircraft avionics suite.
